A Phase I Archaeological survey is required when farmers are using an federally-subsidized loan to develop farms in areas where the presence of archaeological or historical sites is more likely. Unfortunately, this is often revealed to farmers later in the planning process. Our experts have developed an efficient workflow specifically to get farm projects in compliance and back on track as soon as possible -- at the most competitive price.

In most cases our experts can complete the archaeological survey and have a report submitted within several days of initial consultation.  If the results of our investigation suggest that the project area contains culturally significant sites, as defined by state standards and the National Historic Preservation Act, CARA will recommend 1) avoidance of the site, or 2) further testing.
